In general solid and closed shoulder design extend mileage and improve wear, while aggressive center ribs with a lug look provide confident traction and superior road grip. It features a 21/32” deep tread with the purpose to provides long tread life and low operational costs per mile. Solid shoulder ribs resist the lateral forces in high scrub applications. For example, compared with Yokohama MY507 in size 11R24.5 LRH, the Cross Control S comes with a full-coverage protector ply 75% more wide. As a result, this model is more durable and stronger for minimal maintenance and superb durability. Moreover, it isn't enough, this tire ensures up to 20% more mileage than BFGoodrich ST565. To make retreadability standard, engineers use special triangular-shaped groove protectors to combat stone retention and drilling. Another innovation used by BFGoodrich is heat technology that keeps your casing running cool even in tough conditions. This model is recommended for steer and trailer position but is suitable for drive position use. BFGoodrich Cross Control S is available for the US market in 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 315/80R22.5, 385/65R22.5, and 425/65R22.5 sizes.
Note: The 11R22.5, 11R24.5, and 315/80R22.5 sizes are available with four full traction ribs, while the last two (385/65R22.5, and 425/65R22.5) present a five ribs design.
