The R283S Ecopia model comes with an innovative tear resistant tread compound molded into a four-rib tread design to deliver enhanced tread stiffness for improved fuel usage, good handling characteristics and improved grip on wet and dry conditions. It uses an optimized footprint for better pressure distribution providing excellent handling responsiveness, mileage, grip, smooth ride, and load safety. Due to through compounding and tread design, this model offers additional durability of tear resistance for eventually curbing, tight turns and frequent stops. Equalizer rib offers uniform wear along with higher removal mileage as well.
For safety reasons, this model has three circumferential grooves designed to guarantee improved hydroplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire contact patch, providing the best braking and grip performance. Firestone engineers use IntelliShape sidewall design to reduce tire weight, reducing rolling resistance for less annual costs. To prevent the stone drilling and retention, this tire has special narrow circumferential tread elements, protecting the internal structure from potential damages.
Bridgestone R283S Ecopia is available in 22.5 and 24.5-inch sizes, with 18/32” tread depth being one of the best fuel-efficient steer tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in long haul and regional applications.
