This model is an ultra-premium fuel-efficient steer position tire developed especially for commercial use providing handling responsiveness, load safety, uniform tread wear for extra mileage, and powerful road adherence. It is designed to be used on long and regional-haul services, but also in multiple applications.
The FR610 comes with a SmartWay verified tread compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents a five-rib design with a large footprint for better pressure distribution providing increased mileage, adherence, and more lateral stability at the same time. It uses the 19/32” tread depth to guarantee increased fuel efficiency, more mileage, and additional casing durability. Double Coin engineers use the cutting-edge innovations in the tire industry to provide longer wear and lower rolling resistance by predicting rubber characteristics at the molecular level. It shows approximately the same performance as Bridgestone R283A Ecopia, Continental EcoPlus HS3/ Hybrid HS3, and Michelin X Line Energy Z.
For safety reasons, this model has special stress relief sipes designed to combat the irregular wear along all ribs by absorbing rib edges stresses in the contact patch. Due to the four wide circumferential tread grooves, the tire provides high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the footprint, improving wet braking and traction performance. This model stands out with its extensive siping and defense grooves in the tread improving even wear while maintaining excellent traction characteristics and powerful road grip.
