Firestone FD835
This model is an aggressive drive position tire developed for commercial providing high performance in commercial use in terms of traction, tread wear, load safety, grip, and casing durability. It is designed to be used in on/off-highway applications.
The FD835 model comes with a cut, chip, and tear-resistant tread compound molded into an aggressive tread pattern that presents an optimized footprint for better pressure distribution providing increased mileage, excellent grip, outstanding traction, and more lateral stability at the same time. Due to the block design combined with angled siping this tire offers powerful traction even in off-highway use. Extra deep tread extends original casing life providing increased mileage.
For safety reasons, this model has a special split-belt designed to provide more flexibility even in severe off-highway applications, without sacrificing casing durability. Special tread groove geometry provides improved aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush evacuation from under the tire contact patch, providing the best braking performance. The tire has special tie bars designed to control the movement of the center and second tread blocks for improved mileage and rolling resistance.
Firestone FD835 is available in 24.5-inch sizes, with 33/32” tread depth, being one of the best drive position tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in goods transportation and construction applications such as logging.
