Hankook e3 MAX DL21 is a highway terrain, all season commercial tire engineered to serve a wide range of straight trucks in drive axle applications. It was developed mainly to replace its predecessor.
Hankook uses a unique tread design combined with SmartWay Verified tread compound that works together to reduce the rolling resistance and fuel usage and respectively minimize the CO2 emissions. This technology reduces energy loss for high fuel efficiency. Another role of this special tread compound is to decrease heat generation for high casing protection. As a result, the new e3 Max DL21 provides up to 35% more miles and up to 11% improved rolling resistance compared with the old version.
Three rows of center blocks combined with three rows of lug blocks offer high performance in all weather conditions. The wide and round-shaped tread improves load pressure and optimal resistance to abnormal wear. Moreover, Hankook e3 Max DL21 presents four zigzag transversal grooves to improve water drainage for better traction on wet roads. Trustworthy internal construction provides high durability to resist heavy loads.
The 3D sipes deliver increased mileage and traction performance and offer minimal uneven wear and good fuel efficiency. This model also stands out with heel and toe stoppers placed in lateral grooves. These allow self regeneration of sipes to keep superb traction performance. In addition, these increase tread rigidity and resistance to abnormal wear.
Finally, Hankook e3 Max DL21 is present on the US market in the next sizes: 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 285/75 R24.5, and 295/75 R22.5.
Note: The 11R22.5 and 11R24.5 sizes come in both 14 and 16-ply ratings, while the rest of the sizes are 14-ply rated tires.
