Continental HDR2+
This model is an innovative drive position tire developed especially to provide performance in terms of traction, uniform tread wear, mileage, load safety, and road grip. It is designed especially for regional hauling and on/off-highway service.
The HDR2+ comes with an improved cap/base tread compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents open shoulders designed to deliver superb lateral stability, additional cut/chip/chunk resistance, improved traction, and better overall performance. With a large footprint for better pressure distribution, it offers more adherence, increased mileage, and more stability at the same time. Multi-rib design is to reduce the road noise for a comfortable and quiet ride experience. It uses the 30/32 tread that presents a durable tread compound to provide casing durability, reducing the impacts from road shocks and other hazards. Continental engineers use the latest innovation in the tire industry to provide longer wear and lower rolling resistance by predicting rubber characteristics at the molecular level.
For safety reasons, this model is built on the all-new Conti 3G Casing combined with innovative groove geometry designed to reduce stone drilling/retention maximum casing durability for possible multiple retreads. Two wide, deep circumferential grooves and lateral grooves provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush evacuation from under the contact patch, improving wet traction and braking performance. One of the most highlighted innovations used by Continental is chamfered tread block geometry added to reduce drive tire wear.
