How to Choose Hercules TIS Tires

Choose Hercules TIS tires by matching the model to your vehicle type and terrain intensity. TIS x Hercules is a co-branded lineup developed in partnership with TIS Offroad, currently consisting of three distinct models - the RT1, TT1, and UT1 - each targeting a different use case rather than forming an incremental scale.

  • Step 1 - Identify whether the vehicle is a truck/SUV or a UTV/ATV first: The RT1 and TT1 are built for light trucks and SUVs. The  Hercules TIS UT1 is built exclusively for side-by-side and ATV applications. These are separate starting points - the UT1 is not a truck tire.
  • Step 2 - For trucks and SUVs, choose between rugged terrain and mud terrain: The RT1 is designed to bridge the gap between all-terrain and mud-terrain performance, making it the right choice for drivers who split time between pavement and moderate off-road use. The TT1 is a maximum traction mud-terrain tire built for recreational off-road drivers who need aggressive grip in extreme conditions. If regular highway use is part of the picture, the RT1 is the more appropriate choice.
  • Step 3 - For UTV/ATV use, the UT1 is the only option in the TIS lineup: The UT1 features an aggressive max all-terrain tread pattern designed for sand, silt, loose rocks, gravel, dirt, and soil surface terrains. It is not interchangeable with the truck-oriented RT1 or TT1.
  • Step 4 - Confirm fitment by vehicle and rim size: The TT1 is available in high-flotation SKUs with an overall diameter range of 33 to 37 inches, fitting wheels from 17 to 26 inches. The RT1 targets standard light truck and SUV fitments. Always verify SKU availability in your specific size before selecting.

Popular TIS x Hercules Tire Sizes for Trucks & SUVs

TIS x Hercules tires cover standard light truck and SUV fitments through the RT1 and TT1, with the UT1 serving a separate UTV/ATV size range. Common sizes and their vehicle applications:

  •  LT265/70R17- a core light truck fitment for vehicles like the Toyota Tacoma and Chevrolet Silverado. Available in the RT1.
  •  LT275/70R18- common on mid-size and full-size trucks, including the Ford F-150 and Jeep Wrangler. Available in the RT1.
  •  35/12.50R17 and  35X12.50R20 - high-flotation sizes for lifted trucks and off-road builds. Available in both the RT1 and TT1.
  •  33X12.50R17- a popular entry point for off-road builds on the Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Tacoma. Available in the TT1.

The RT1 is planned for 41 sizes ranging from 16- to 22-inch rim diameters, covering vehicles including the Ford F-150, Jeep Wrangler, Toyota Tacoma, and Chevrolet Silverado. The TT1 focuses on high-flotation sizes in the 33- to 37-inch diameter range, fitting 17- to 26-inch wheels. Because both lines target off-road and lifted fitments rather than OEM replacements, always verify your specific size is available before selecting — SKU coverage differs meaningfully between the RT1 and TT1.
