Michelin Pilot Sport PS2
This model is one of Michelin’s most popular ultra-high-performance tires in their lineup. It is used as original equipment on many of today’s sports cars and luxury sedans, that claims to provide maximum grip, stability, high-performance traction, responsive handling, and cornering power as well.
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 uses two uniquely different rubber tread compounds molded to an asymmetric tread pattern to provide increased cornering grip, steering control, and high-speed stability without compromise. This model presents a hybrid silica and carbon black compound that covers the outer shoulder of the tire and contact patch. Due to larger outside shoulder blocks and continuous center rib, the Pilot Sport PS2 delivers enhanced cornering grip, more steering control and response.
For safety reasons, Michelin uses circumferential grooves and added lateral grooves for better water dispersion from under the tire footprint thus increasing hydroplaning resistance. To add extra durability and strength engineers use two high-tensile steel belt construction along with an aramid and nylon filament reinforcement, improving ride comfort at the same time.
Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 is available from 17 to 22-inch sizes backed by a 6-year or 20,000-mile tread guarantee.
