Michelin X WORKS GRIP D
This model is the most aggressive Michelin’s drive tires engineered to provide high performance in terms of tread wear, off-road traction, safety, and grip. It is designed to be used in logging fleets in extreme conditions offering increased load safety, exceptional traction to help to keep you safe on the road.
The X WORKS GRIP D comes with a resistant compound molded into a unique design that has a five-lug design that presents four steel belts in the summit package for extra casing durability. This tread has a durable, saw-tooth lug combined with staggered shoulder blocks to promote over 800 serrated edges for more grip on slippery surfaces. Due to the optimized rubber to void ratio, the tire presents maximum traction without compromising the mileage. One of the most highlighted technologies is a Co-Ex Technology designed to cool running tread rubber promoting optimal temperature in the crown area.
For safety reasons, the tread presents continuous stone retention elements designed to reduce the risk of stone drilling. Michelin X WORKS GRIP D has special tread grooves combined with advanced hydro sipes designed to provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, delivering excellent traction and grip performance at the same time.
This model is available in 24.5-inch sizes, one of the best drive position tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in severe off-road freight transportation.
