This model is one of the most-toughest Michelin’s all-position tires engineered to provide high performance in terms of off-road traction, tread wear, safety, and mileage. It is designed especially for regional, urban transport offering increased load safety, more mileage without compromising fuel efficiency.
The X WORKS Z comes with a chip and cut resistant compound molded into a unique design that has a four-lug design that presents a 50% wider groove-to-groove protector ply combined with a thicker layer designed to absorb the shocks. One of the most highlighted technologies is a TW6 OzoneShield that is a double treatment of the sidewall for improved casing protection. This model has hard-packed cables designed to manage road hazards offering good casing integrity. For safety reasons, the tread presents special stone retention elements designed to reduce the risk of stone drilling.
Michelin X WORKS Z has special tread grooves combined with advanced hydro sipes designed to provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, delivering excellent traction and grip performance at the same time. Due to the full-width protector ply, the tire presents extra internal protection from nail penetrations and other road hazards.
