Michelin XZU S 2
This model is an exceptional Michelin’s all-position tire with high carrying capacity developed to be used on waste vehicles providing increased superb treadlife, and grip in high scrub urban application, but also more handling performance.
The XZU S 2 comes with an advanced tread compound molded into an aggressive four-rib design that presents a wide footprint for better pressure distribution providing outstanding overall performance at the same time. Compared with the Michelin XZU S, this model has up to 20% longer lifespan and less stone ejection. This model stands out with good casing life offered extended metallic chafer designed to protect the bead from high temperatures.
One of the innovations used by Michelin to increase the tire lifespan is the full-width elastic protector ply designed to provide great resistance to shocks, and penetration. Michelin XZU S 2 has a tread design developed to deliver high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, more safety and excellent road grip. Due to the durable and strong internal structure combined with extra thick sidewall and shoulder the tire shows high resistance from bruising penetrations and extra protection against shocks and impacts.
This model is available in 22.5-inch sizes, being one of the best all-position tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in high scrub urban applications.
