Michelin XZY 3 WIDE BASE
This model is an exceptional Michelin’s all-position wide base tire developed to be used on heavy front axle for off-road applications offering exceptional traction, and grip in mixed and severe service, but also more mileage at the same time.
The XZY 3 WIDE BASE comes with an advanced tread compound molded into an aggressive four-lug design that presents an extra-wide footprint with wide grooves between rugged blocked lugs developed to provide exceptional traction in mud, soft soil, gravel and deep snow. Compared with the Michelin X WORKS XDY 3, this model has up to 10% longer lifespan and less stone ejection. This tire stands out with exceptional casing life offered by extra-robust four-belt crown package with extra-wide plies and shock pad.
One of the innovations used by Michelin to increase the tire lifespan is the full-width elastic protector ply designed to provide great resistance to shocks, and penetration. Michelin XZY 3 WIDE BASE has unique tread pattern engineered to deliver high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, offering more safety combined with the excellent grip performance. Due to the durable and strong internal structure that presents a four-belt design this tire shows high resistance from bruising penetrations and other road hazards.
This model is available in 22.5-inch sizes, being one of the best all-position tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in off-road applications.
