Choose Rovelo tires by identifying axle position and service environment first. Rovelo's catalog is built mostly around commercial truck and bus radial (TBR) applications. Every product in the lineup is selected through fleet logic, not vehicle category logic.
For regional drive applications, RDR3, RDR4, and RDR5 cover this ground at different performance tiers. RDR3 is the premium regional drive option, with an open lug design built for four-season traction including mud and snow clearing. RDR4 sits in standard regional drive service. RDR5 and RDR5SP extend the regional drive range with the SP variant adding premium compound and tread features for higher-demand regional cycles.
For mixed service and on/off-road drive applications, RDM1 is the correct branch - it is specifically positioned as an on/off-road high-traction drive tire, separate from the purely highway regional drive lines.
RSL1-LF covers the premium steer position. For all-position use across regional and highway service, RSR4 and RSR4SP are the workhorses - the RSR4SP variant includes sidewall protector ribs on select sizes for last-mile delivery operations where curb contact is a regular hazard. RSR6 and RSR7/RSR7-LF extend all-position coverage for regional highway applications. RAM3 covers mixed-service all-position duty where the route combines on-highway and off-highway conditions. Rovelo RAR7-WB covers regional all-position use in wide-base sizing.
RTR2 handles regional trailer service. RTR-ST is a specialty trailer product for applications outside standard highway trailer duty. RTL1-LF and RDL1-LF cover the long-haul and close-shoulder drive sides of the trailer-adjacent range. RWS-677 and RWS-677 LT cover wide-single configurations for fleets running super-single fitments.
Start with service environment - regional, mixed service, long haul, or pickup and delivery. Then confirm axle position - drive, steer, all-position, or trailer. Then check whether a standard or LF (low-profile) construction is required for the application. Size comes last. Comparing a drive tire to a steer tire because they share a nominal size is the most common commercial tire selection error, and Rovelo's model naming makes the position transparent once the structure is understood: R = Rovelo, D = Drive, S = Steer, T = Trailer, M = Mixed service, A = All position.
Road Quest H/T and Ridgetrak A/T - these are the consumer-facing SUV lines, covering highway terrain and all-terrain use for personal vehicles. These sit in a completely different branch from every commercial model listed above and should not be cross-referenced with fleet selection logic.
