The AZ850 comes with a unique tread compound molded into an asymmetrical tread design that presents five ribs to promote performance and efficiency. Due to the solid center rib, this tire ensures responsive handling and more straight-line stability. Large shoulder tread blocks deliver resistance to manage the cornering forces for more contact patch and biting edges and maximum road adherence. The engineers use an innovative tread compound to add additional flexibility when it comes to low weather temperatures, promoting improved rolling resistance for more fuel efficiency.
For safety reasons, this model has four main circumferential grooves combined with oblique lateral grooves offering high aquaplaning resistance for more road stability and vehicle control in both wet and dry conditions. Thanks to special groove geometry, especially finely sliced blocks on the inside shoulders this tire promotes less road noise for comfortable driving. To add extra durability and strength the engineers use special high-tensile steel belts and jointless nylon bands promoting secure braking, handling, and durability.
