Bridgestone Potenza RE040
This model is a high-performance summer tire designed to ensure a balance of high-performance traction, responsive handling, and a high level of driving comfort as well.
The Potenza RE040 comes with a high grip tread compound molded into a directional tread pattern designed to provide increased traction on both dry and wet roads. For safety reasons, Bridgestone uses wide circumferential and lateral tread grooves to provide better water evacuation under the tire footprint providing extra stability on the road. A continuous center rib and large rectangular tread blocks are added to increase grip on dry surfaces.
Twin steel belt construction reinforced by spiral-wrapped nylon stabilizes the tire, ensures responsive handling, and extra durability and strength. The RE040 is also available with Run-Flat Technology. Run-flat tires provide temporary self-supporting mobility for a distance of 50 miles at up to 50 mph, even after a puncture has allowed complete air pressure loss.
This model is available from 15 to 19-inch sizes along with W and Y-speed ratings, backed by a limited tread warranty. It is used as original equipment on some models from Toyota, Nissan, BMW, and others big car manufacturers.
