Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 is a premium summer tire developed for a wide range of coupes, sedans, and crossovers. It provides responsive handling, steering precision, ride comfort, and superior traction.
The ContiPremiumContact 2 comes with an innovative tread compound molded into an asymmetric tread pattern combined with continuous lateral grooves and a greater number of tread blocks, the tire shows a more precise steering response and extra stability on the road. Its unique 3D tread grooves increase traction on both dry and wet traction and braking performance at the same time. Due to these grooves, combined with shallow and steep tread angles the tire presents a reduced risk of hydroplaning, by better expelling water from under the tire patch contact. Another role of the 3-D grooves is to enhance tread block stability for improved handling performance.
Inside the tread, we can find a two-ply rayon casing that supports two high-tensile steel belts that promote tire shape at high speeds for improved stability and safety. The ContiPremiumContact 2 is available from 15 to 18-inch sizes, with H or V-speed ratings. This model is used as Original Equipment on vehicles like Mini Cooper, and Volkswagen GTI models.
