This model is a trailer position tire developed especially to provide uniform tread wear, road stability, and more mileage as well. It is designed especially for regional applications.
The HTR2 SA comes with an advanced compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents a five-rib with a large footprint for better pressure distribution providing increased mileage, adherence, and more adherence. It uses the best combination between tread compound and innovative tread geometry to deliver improved tire life, handling responsiveness, and better-wet grip and braking. Continental uses the latest innovation in the tire industry to provide longer wear and lower rolling resistance by predicting rubber characteristics at the molecular level.
For safety reasons, the Continental engineers use patented innovative groove technology to improve casing durability, load/people safety, and retreadability, by stone retention minimization. Four circumferential grooves provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the footprint, improving overall performance. Due to the multi-rib design, the ride becomes more comfortable and quieter.
