    This model is a fuel-efficient super single drive position tire engineered especially for commercial use to provide improved fuel usage, traction, tread wear, load safety, and more mileage. It is designed to be used in the long haul, over the highway.

    The HDL2 Eco Plus comes with a SmartWay Verified tread compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents an eight-rib design with an extra-wide footprint for better pressure distribution. Thanks to 27/32” depth, an evolving sipe tread, and closed shoulder pattern designed to improve traction, wear performance, excellent all-weather grip along superb wet braking. Durable internal structure promotes high carrying capacity without sacrificing vehicle performance. Continental uses the latest innovations in the tire industry to provide longer wear and lower rolling resistance by predicting rubber characteristics at the molecular level.

    For safety reasons this model has innovative groove geometry designed to minimize stone retention, thus extending casing lifespan. Seven circumferential tread grooves provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under contact patch, improving overall performance. Continental engineers use three-dimensional center sipes with the purpose to increase groove strength and flexibility.
