Firestone FD711
This model is a quality drive position tire developed for commercial use to show performance in terms of traction, grip, uniform tread wear, safety, and casing durability. It is designed to be used in long and regional haul applications, off-highway service, and P&D applications.
The FD711 model comes with an innovative cap/base tread compound molded into an aggressive tread pattern that presents a large footprint for better pressure distribution providing increased mileage, adherence, outstanding traction, and more stability as well. Due to the open shoulder tread pattern with deep horizontal lugs, this tire delivers exceptional traction in mud and snow applications. The Firestone engineers use advanced cap/base compounding that combines a slow-wearing tread compound and cool running compound on the base to increase the casing performance.
For safety reasons, this model has trustworthy four-belt construction designed to reduce casing penetrations for enhanced retreadability. Special lateral shoulder channels provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush evacuation from under the tire contact patch, providing the best braking performance.
Firestone FD711 is available in 22.5 and 24.5-inch sizes, with 26/32” tread depth, being one of the best drive position tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in goods transportation and construction applications.
