Firestone FS818
This model is a wide base all-position tire developed for commercial use to show performance in terms of traction, grip, uniform tread wear, handling responsiveness, and casing durability. It is designed to be used in regional haul applications, and off-highway service.
The FS818 model comes with a cut/chip resistant tread compound molded into an aggressive tread pattern that presents a large footprint for better pressure distribution providing increased mileage, adherence, outstanding traction, and extra lateral stability. Due to the self-cleaning tread pattern, this tire delivers powerful traction in mud and light snow applications. The Firestone engineers use special sidewall protector ribs to help fight cuts, snags, and some penetrations.
For safety reasons, this model has trustworthy four-belt construction designed to reduce casing damage for enhanced retreadability. Special groove geometry guarantees high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush evacuation from under the tire contact patch, providing the best braking performance. The tire has special stone rejector platforms added to offer high stone retention resistance for improved casing lifespan.
Firestone FS818 is available in 22.5-inch sizes, with 23/32” tread depth, being one of the best all-position tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in on/off-highway service.
