Michelin X INCITY Z
This model is an all-position bus tire engineered to provide improved traction, uniform tread wear, fuel usage, and more mileage. It is designed especially for urban applications providing people safety, road stability, handling responsiveness, and mileage without compromising fuel efficiency.
The X INCITY Z comes with the scrub-resistant compound molded into an optimized tread design that presents a four-rib model for high traction in adverse weather. Thanks to this tread compound the tire gained up to 20% longer tread life. One of the most highlighted technologies used by Michelin engineers is the Matrix Siping Technology designed to provide thousands of biting edges for high traction and lug-like performance. For safety reasons, the tire presents an extended metallic chafer to protect the bead from high temperatures providing extra casing durability.
Michelin X INCITY Z has three deep circumferential tread grooves developed to deliver high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, improving traction and road adherence. Due to the zigzag groove walls, the tire promotes optimized biting edges and snow evacuation for more traction performance. Full-width protector ply is used to add extra internal protection from bruising, penetrations, and other road hazards.
This model is available in 22.5-inch sizes backed by Michelin Standard Tread Warranty being one of the best all-position tire options for a wide range of vehicles used in people transportation.
