This model is a highway tire used primarily on steerable lift axles on the heavy box and flat-bed trailers delivering high performance in terms of the demands of high scrub, uniform tread wear in a high cube, fuel usage, and mileage. It is designed especially for regional transport and urban transport applications to offer load safety, mileage without compromising fuel efficiency.
The X MULTI T2 comes with an advanced rubber compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents a unique five-rib design to improve rolling resistance, uniform wear in highway service. It has beefy solid shoulders and increased rubber volume designed to resist the abrasion of lateral scrub. The Michelin engineers use innovative evolving groove design which provides uniform wear and manages the stone retention offering up to 20% more mileage.
For safety reasons this model has four wide circumferential grooves combined with advanced hydro sipes designed to provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, delivering excellent performance. It has special groove elements that increase resistance to stone retention for more casing durability. Full-width elastic protector ply offers maximum casing durability, providing improved extra protection for working plies.
