This model is a commercial drive position tire engineered to provide high performance in terms of year-round traction, uniform tread wear, fuel usage, and mileage. It is designed especially for regional and urban transport and light off-road applications, offering increased load safety, more mileage without compromising fuel efficiency.
The XDS 2 19.5 comes with an all-new tread compound molded into a special design that has a four-lug design that presents aggressive zigzag center grooves and numerous open shoulders for additional traction in adverse weather and snow conditions. It incorporates three-dimensional Matrix sipes that deliver up to 700 biting edges for high traction in mud and snow application.
Michelin XDS 2 19.5 has three deep zigzag circumferential grooves combined with advanced hydro sipes designed to provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, improving grip performance at the same time. For safety reasons, this tire comes with an advanced rectangular bead bundle designed to offer maximum casing durability, and respectively stabilizes the bead region and minimizes fatigue to extend casing life.
