Michelin XPS Rib
This model is an all-position highway commercial tire developed especially for van and light truck use, to provide high performance in terms of uniform tread wear, casing durability, fuel usage, and mileage. It is designed to be used in regional transport and urban applications to offer load safety, and extra mileage without compromising fuel efficiency.
The XPS Rib comes with an advanced rubber compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents a unique four-rib design, steel casing, reinforced steel bead to deliver exceptional retreadability. Michelin uses optimized rib design to prevent irregular wear, but also to provide long mileage with low noise level.
For safety reasons this model has three wide circumferential grooves combined with advanced hydro sipes designed to provide increased aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, for excellent overall performance. It has a special sidewall protector to provide extra resistance to sidewall damage from most curb scrubbing for maximum casing durability.
