Michelin XTE2
This model is a small diameter trailer tire developed to provide high performance in terms of the demands of high scrub, uniform tread wear in a high cube, fuel usage, and mileage. It is designed especially for regional operations, but also for line haul routes, and off-road applications, providing load safety, mileage without compromising fuel efficiency.
The XTE2 comes with an all-new tread compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents a unique four-rib design to combat the onset of irregular wear in highway service. It comes with a dual tread compound: a top layer is added for long mileage and a bottom is designed to provide fuel efficiency and casing durability.
For safety reasons this model has three circumferential grooves designed to provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, improving excellent handling performance at the same time. Due to the lateral siping along rib edges, this tire shows enhanced traction and braking in all weather conditions. Full-width elastic protector ply offers maximum casing durability, providing improved extra protection for working plies.
Michelin XTE2 is available in 19.5-inch sizes backed by long-lasting treadwear being one of the best trailer tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in freight transportation.
NOTE: Certain MICHELIN Truck Tires used only in long-haul service according to the instructions contained in this Operator’s Manual are covered by an additional Manufacturer’s Limited Casing Guarantee against defects in workmanship and materials for 700,000 miles and up to 3 retreads, for 7 years from the date of purchase when retreaded by an authorized Michelin Retread Technologies (MRT) Dealer.
