This model is the most fuel-efficient dual drive tire developed especially for commercial use to provide high performance in terms of low rolling resistance, uniform tread wear, steering, fuel usage, and mileage. It is designed especially for line haul routes and on-highway drive providing extra mileage without compromising fuel efficiency.
The X LINE ENERGY D+ comes with a SmartWay Verified tread compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents full depth, interlocking sipes with zig-zag walls to offers extra biting edges for good traction, and grip, along with ultra-low rolling resistance. Thanks to interlocking siping and regenerating features- it gets up and running faster with 35% better traction. The tire presents a five-rib with a large contact patch for better weight distribution providing increased mileage, grip, and more stability on the highway at the same time.
For safety reasons this model has four circumferential grooves combined with deep lateral grooves designed to provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the footprint, improving the year-round performance. Due to the durable casing with high tensile strength steel belts used by Michelin, the tire supports repeated retreading. Compared with the Bridgestone M710 Ecopia this tire saves up to $725 in annual fuel.
