The XTRAMILE XR01 comes with a specialized year-round tread compound molded into an innovative tread design that presents five ribs among which wear-resistant shoulder blocks designed to increase the lateral stability, traction, offering smooth and comfortable ride. Due to a solid center rib, this tire ensures precise steering and more straight-line performance on highway. Federal engineers use latest technologies like Elimination of Highly Aromatic oils designed to minimize environmental impact, reducing the annual costs at the same time. It uses a special all-season tread that ensures more tread flexibility in low temperatures conditions for more road adherence during winter.
This model presents reinforced steel tire cord and dual layers of polyester carcass plies and strengthened sidewall to increase tire durability and strength. Optimized design reduces the road noise offering a smooth and comfortable ride. Four wide circumferential grooves combined with numerous horizontal grooves offer high aquaplaning resistance by better water/slush dispersion from under the tire footprint for vehicle control in both wet and dry conditions. Thanks to special tread design with many sipes on the tread block, the tire shows high braking performance necessary to stop the vehicle.
