For instance, in the production of this model, the new high structure carbon black compound with the purpose to control heat generation for increased fuel efficiency and multiple retreads. Another role of this compound is to create high resistance to cuts and chips. It is formed into a closed shoulder design with zigzag tread grooves and innovative angular kerf. In addition, thanks to the polygonal block design and step edge groove, this tire provides a short braking distance. Optimized tread width provides high road stability, outstanding handling performance, and improved lifespan.
For safety reasons, stone ejector platforms in the center of grooves are always clear at all times for high traction performance. Strong casing along with a thick sidewall compound resists heavy loads even in severe off road services.
Hankook Smart Work AM09(+) is available in two versions: a standard AM09 and an all new AM09 Plus. The standard Hankook Smart Work AM09 is present on the market in the following sizes: 10R22.5, 11R22.5, 12R22.5, and 255/70R22.5, while the AM09 Plus comes only in 315/80R22.5 size.
