This was developed especially to replace its predecessor, the old Z59(W) model. Thanks to the latest technologies used in the production of this model, it shows up to 15% more mileage.
Firstly, it features a new sub tread compound developed to improve energy loss for high fuel efficiency. Another role of this special tread compound is to decrease heat generation for high casing protection. The DL11 also stands out with 3 Dimensional siping design that has a lot of benefits among which controlling tearing and wearing, enhancing fuel efficiency, and increasing road grip in M+S applications.
Secondly, it incorporates a SmartWay Verified technology that reduces rolling resistance without compromising traction performance. It works hand in hand with Super Mileage Compound also known as SMC. It represents an innovative cap tread compound using a rubber with femer molecule branches that allow the best weight distribution mile after mile. Wide shoulder blocks coupled with three rows of center blocks show the highest performance in all weather conditions. The wide and round-shaped tread improves load pressure and optimal resistance to abnormal wear. Moreover, Hankook DL11 has four semi zigzag tread grooves to improve water drainage for better traction on wet roads. While durable casing construction provides enough durability to handle load stress.
Best of all, Hankook DL11 is produced in the following sizes: 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 285/75R24.5, and 295/75R22.5 sizes. As a result, this model is able to serve the most significant part of tractor sleepers, tractor day cabs, and many other straight trucks.
