Last year (2022), Hankook launched the full lineup of worldwide replacement tires for electric vehicles called iON. Their lineup includes the: iON evo, iON evo AS, and iON i*cept. This time it's our turn to talk about the last model, the Hankook iON i*cept.
For instance, the iON i*cept features Hankook's newest rubber compound(EVolution Compound) enriched with high concentration silica and ecologic materials. Shaped into a directional pattern with an optimized design, it allows drivers to keep moving even in moderate to severe snow conditions. On the other hand, this model delivers low rolling resistance, which helps to improve the EV's range and energy efficiency. Due to its directional tread pattern, advanced compound, and noise canceling design, this tire helps to provide exceptional traction and handling performance but also delivers a comfortable and smooth ride.
When it comes to tire internal structure, here we have the reinforced casing with strong and high tensile belts. The main role of these is to enhance endurance and durability. In addition, these increase ride confidence for smooth and pleasant rides during the winter season. The construction includes also folded edge tape. It works in tandem with a mono layer structure of fiber stiffener to reduce rolling resistance and improve sidewall stability. While the strong jointless bead wire ensures high safety, thus keeping the tire securely attached to the wheel. Best of all, this i*cept is available in multiple sizes with rim diameters from 18" to 22".
