Nexen Winguard Winspike

This model is an ultra-high-performance studdable winter tire developed for use on a wide range of passenger drivers who are looking for the best winter performance without any compromise when it comes to safety and comfort in ice and snow weather.

The Winguard Winspike comes with an advanced silica compound molded into a directional V-Shape pattern that presents edge effects of wave and step multi sipes, optimized arrangement of sipes designed to provide a firm grip on any type of road surface even in snowy and icy conditions.

It comes with a unique tread pattern along with deep lateral and zigzag circumferential grooves designed to provide better performance and added winter traction. Due to these elements, the tire has no water accumulates in the contact patch, presenting the increased aquaplaning resistance. The Nexen engineers use the optimum allocation of 12 multi-random stud lines with the purpose to improve traction performance on snow and ice and minimize stud noise.

Inside the tread, we can find a special internal construction that includes two steel belts with spirally wrapped nylon designed to promote strength, durability, road stability, and safety. This model is available from 15 to 17-inch sizes with a Q-speed rating, backed by Nexen Total Coverage Warranty.
