This model is a studded winter tire designed to meet the needs of a wide range of sedans, coupes, station wagons, and luxury crossover owners. It comes to offer refined comfort on the daily drive and confident traction during the winter season.
The Wintrac Ice has a unique tread compound molded into a highly directional tread pattern designed to provide handling stability and the best dry traction. The 3D self-locking sipes create additional biting edges to provide predictable and controlled winter traction. Due to the computer-optimized design, the tire presents a large contact area that promotes better pressure distribution, superb winter grip, and year-round steering response.
For safety reasons, the tire presents wide lateral grooves and open shoulders designed to evacuate better water from under the tire footprint for high hydroplaning resistance. This model has an innovative internal construction supported by two steel belts designed to ensure handling performance and high-speed durability as well.
Vredestein Wintrac Ice is available from 15 to 19-inch sizes, in T-speed rating. It is used as a replacement winter tire for a wide range of passenger cars.
