Hankook AH24 is an innovative all position tire recommended for steer axles, but also good for drive position applications. This tire is engineered especially for commercial trucks used in the premium regional haul.
For instance, it has a SmartWay Verified tread compound molded into a closed shoulder design with up to 22/32" tread depth. In addition, optimized width resists lateral forces, and provides responsive handling, great fuel efficiency, but also high road stability. Hankook AH24 presents a five rib pattern with deeper grooves and wider treads to provide longer tread life. It presents a perfect combination of straight and zigzag grooves. These have an important role in water drainage and heat dissipation. Due to its closed shoulder ribs, this model provides high road stability and better steering performance for correct and uniform tread wear. Multi siping design enhances contact with the asphalt.
For safety reasons, it has a special sidewall protector rib that resists cuts and abrasions generated by curbing and impact. Moreover, Hankook uses a unique tread design to minimize stone retention, thus increasing casing integrity for multiple retreads.
Hankook AH24 is available for US customers in the most popular sizes: 11R22.5, 11R24.5, 285/75 R24.5, and 295/75 R22.5.
Note: First two sizes come in both 14 and 16-ply ratings, while the last two are only in 14-ply internal construction.
