This model comes with a specific tread compound optimized for regional applications formed into a five rib tread pattern. It has four wavy and deep grooves with semi zigzag design. In addition, multi 3D sipes increase traction ability and road grip for controlled and stable driving performance. While a rib pattern adds extra stiffness for great fuel savings. An important technology used by Hankook is Stiffness Control Theory (SCCT). It keeps the carcass profile stable for uniform weight distribution, thus reducing belt and bead flex. Hankook Smart Flex AH35 is available in the following sizes: 215/75R17.5, 225/70R19.5, 235/75R17.5, 245/70R19.5, 265/70R19.5, and 8R19.5, with 14 or 16-ply ratings. Hankook recommends using this tire at steer axles but is also good in drive position applications.
