This model is a fuel-efficient all-position/ steer tire developed for commercial use to show excellent performance in terms of fuel usage, grip, tread wear, handling, and load/people safety. It is recommended to be used in regional freight distribution, P&D service, but also in bus and coach use.

The R268 Ecopia model comes with a high scrub tread compound molded into a five-rib tread design to improve fuel usage, handling characteristics, offering excellent grip on wet and dry conditions. It uses an optimized footprint for better pressure distribution providing excellent handling responsiveness, mileage, grip, smooth ride and load safety. Due to the wide and solid shoulder ribs, this tire promotes enhanced resistance to maneuvering scrub and increased tread life. Equalizer rib offers uniform wear along with higher removal mileage as well.

For safety reasons, this model has three circumferential grooves designed to guarantee improved hydroplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, providing the best braking and grip performance. Firestone engineers use special sidewall protector ribs to preserve casing durability and overall tire performance. To prevent stone drilling and retention, this tire special stone rejector platforms offering additional protection to the internal structure from potential damages.

Bridgestone R268 Ecopia is available in 22.5 and 24.5-inch sizes, with 21/32” tread depth being one of the best fuel-efficient all-position steer tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used in goods and people transportation and construction applications.
