Uniroyal History 

The United States Rubber Company simply known as Uniroyal is an American tire manufacturer founded in 1892 with headquarter in Greenville, South Carolina, Naugatuck, Connecticut, USA.  

Currently, the Uniroyal count over 1,000 workers in the U.S. remains employed by Michelin to make its Uniroyal brand products.  

After adopting a new zig-zag tread pattern into his tires in 1912 the American brand became a very popular tire increasing fourfold production by 1914. In 1969 Uniroyal designed the first rain tire. Another interesting fact about Uniroyal is that they were the first who discovered the benefits of the directional V-shaped tread. 

Over time Uniroyal received a trusted part of the lives of millions of Americans since it was founded as the U.S. Rubber Company.
