Firestone T831
This model is a high-quality drive position tire developed for commercial use to show optimal performance when it comes to traction, grip, uniform wear, load safety, and casing integrity. It is designed to be used for on/off-highway severe service, even in off-road applications.
The T831 model comes with a specialized cut and chips resistant tread compound molded into an aggressive lug tread pattern that presents a large footprint for better pressure distribution providing increased mileage, powerful grip, and more lateral stability. To increase off-road performance the Firestone engineers use oversized lugs, deep void, and biting edges.
For safety reasons, this model has a special stress-relief body ply combined with four-belt construction designed to improve casing durability and overall performance. Due to advanced cap/base compounding the tire gained a cool-running base that shields the casing from damaging heat. The tread groove geometry promotes high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush evacuation from under the tire contact patch, improving traction performance.
Firestone T831 is available in 22.5 and 24.5-inch sizes, with 31/32” tread depth, being one of the best drive position tire options for a wide range of commercial vehicles used for on/off-highway applications.
