The Defender T+H comes with a new, all-season tread compound molded into a symmetric pattern designed for a smooth and quiet ride experience. The tread pattern combines Intellisipe Technology + New High-Silica compound designed to improve durability and longevity compared to the previous-generation Defender.
Michelin's IntelliSipe technology means zigzag sipes that interlock below the surface designed to increase tread block rigidity while also optimizing the tire's contact with the road. Due to the new-generation compound with high silica content, the Defender T+H provides the best year-round traction. For safety reasons, the Michelin engineers use lateral notches and circumferential grooves to effectively channel water away from the footprint thus increasing hydroplaning resistance.
Moreover, Michelin Defender T+H has a durable internal construction that consists of a single-ply polyester casing supported by two steel belts designed to ensure handling performance and high-speed durability as well. This model is available from 14 to 18-inch sizes, backed by 6 years of standard limited warranty, or 80,000 miles tread life.
