The X WORKS D comes with an anti-chip tread compound molded into an aggressive four-lug directional design that presents extra-wide grooves between rugged blocked lugs developed to provide exceptional traction in mud, soft soil, gravel, and deep snow. This model delivers exceptional casing life offered by four steel belts and special stone ejectors elements. Compared with the Michelin X WORKS XDY, this model has up to 15% longer tire life and up to 25% less stone ejection.
One of the innovations used by Michelin to increase the tire lifespan is tear drop sipes in tire opens as they wear, for additional traction. Michelin X WORKS D has a unique tread design to provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, delivering exceptional off-road traction combined with excellent grip performance at the same time. Due to the durable and strong internal structure, this model shows high resistance from bruising penetrations and other road hazards.
