The XRV model comes with a cool-running tread compound molded into an optimized tread pattern that presents a five-rib with a wide contact patch for better pressure distribution and more stability on the road. One of the most highlighted innovations used by Michelin engineers is a shallow, stable tread designed to provide lower heat for extra durability and improved handling at the same time.
For safety reasons this model has four see-through grooves combined with multi-siping designed to provide high aquaplaning resistance by better water and slush dispersion from under the tire footprint, and better grip and longer, more even wear. Due to the enlarged sidewall print used by Michelin engineers, the tire presents easy-to-read load pressure information.
